Ruby-stained Engraved Base

An unusually-shaped weight with a ruby-stained engraved base - possibly from the Egermann workshop in Haida, North Bohemia. Depicted in the engraving are a stag and hind fleeing through a forest glade with bushes in the background and 2 leafy trees in the foreground.
The low-domed, oval weight has a deep notch-cut running all the way around it.
The weight is in good condition - apart from a couple of pin-pricks and age-related surface scratches - but has a couple of floaters (pieces of cullet) in the dome.
