“Spaced” Closepack

A “spaced” closepack with mainly complete complex canes and just a few partial canes. A number of canes can be identified by the descriptions George Kulles gives on pages 56-57 of his book “Identifying Antique Paperweights. The Less Familiar”. For instance, pink & green “Twin Ovals” (No 4); a single blue & white “Pinched Bull’s-Eye” (No 5) centring a ring of pink crimps, and a 2-ringed cane of “Pinched Bull’s-Eyes”; a yellow “Whorl” (No. 7) in a circle of “Four-Petal Canes” (No. 8); a blue & white “Rayed Hexagon” (No. 9) and three “Collapsed-tube Roses” - 2 at the centre of circles of pink & white tubes , the 3rd one on the side of the weight (No. 11).
The cane are set relatively high in the dome. The sides curve down steeply to a small polished, concave base.
