An unusual example of a post-classic weight - probably from a Silesian glassworks although these blossoms also appear in Bohemian weights. 6 dark-green, 4-petalled blossoms - each with a small air bubble in the centre - are set around a similar red blossom on what appears to be a dusky-pink ground - but is, in fact, pale-yellow & orange filigree interwoven with swirling white latticinio threads. The glass in the dome has a greyish tint. The base is, as usual with these weights, flat and lightly-ground and show signs of wear.
