The colours of the canes are typical for Thuringian glassworks - turquoise and yellowish-orange - and the workmanship is not up to the standard generally found in Silesian weights. One cane in the outer row - the 5-lobed blue, red & white star - is, however, more unusual. Set on a polychrome ground of cane fragments - used sparingly and unevenly distributed (one side of the ground is higher than the other), not that this affects the appearance of the weight when viewed from above... Flat, lightly-ground base showing considerable signs of wear commensurate with its age.
