Concentric in a Stave Basket (2001)

A relatively early weight from this American millefiori artist; encircling a central cluster of semi-translucent bluish-green complex canes, are 4 rings of white & aquamarine canes enclosed in a basket of aquamarine-lined white staves. The lacy white canes soften the stronger aquamarine tones in the 2nd and 3rd rows. A “rogue” cane in the row of alternating canes adds a touch of pale-blue & amber to the 2 main colours.
The flat, polished base is signed and dated: Jim Brown 2001.
