Red Azalea Bouquet (1988)
A splayed floral arrangement centred by 3 red azaleas, surrounded by sprays of blue bellflowers, yellow wild flowers and various types of leaves with entwined stems, over a clear ground. The signature/date cane is hidden underneath one of the leaves.
The weight is scratch-signed on the side: Buzzini '88 RAB 120.
According to the artist, this was one of his most popular early designs and quite a number were made - all with slight variations - beginning in 1987 and continuing into 1988.
