Dahlia & Ysart Butterfly 1/1
When we asked the artist for information about this superb weight, we discovered that it was a special piece - the work of 4 artists. A Paul Ysart butterfly (with an aventurine body & distinctive millefiori-cane wings) fluttering over a beautiful golden-bronze dahlia - with a pompon centre - created by Debbie. Her father - Delmo Tarsitano - made the latticinio base. While the 4th artist involved was Ed Poore, who cut the circular top window and 6 side facets.
Signed with a blue/white DT cane on the underside of the muslin. A narrow basal rim surrounds the polished, concave base.
(Probably made around 1988/1990, it is most definitely a unique weight).
