Centring the design, composed of white corrugated canes in white, yellow & red “collars” set over an opaque mulberry-coloured ground, is a Gridel dog silhouette cane (a slightly “elongated” version of the silhouette known from antique weights!). Red millefiori canes around the perimeter contain the other 17 Gridel silhouettes and a B 1978 signature/date cane. Flat, polished base. Acid-etched Baccarat insignia, date and edition number.
