1978 Violet Butterfly (Ed. 125)

One of the 6 designs in the “Exotic Butterfly” series. In the centre of the violet/brown honeycomb wings are blue eye-spots. The brown-bodied insect - with its white eyes, yellow antennae and outstretched wings - is flying over a mossy pebble ground.
A tiny B1978 signature/date cane is set at the edge of the ground, which is underlaid with translucent green - appears black ! Acid-etched on the slightly-concave, polished base is the Baccarat insignia together with the edition number and year.
