The large variety of complex canes includes the 12 signs of the Zodiac and also 2 green-coated white shamrocks ! These weights were not limited editions but were numbered - in sequence - as they were produced during the year. There may have been just a few or a couple of hundred. The outer row of canes is drawn into the centre to form a multi-coloured basket. A small B1978 signature/date can be seen in the centre of the second image. The Baccarat insignia is acid-etched on the flat, polished base along with the number (18) and year.
