Lunar Sea - Ed. 50 (1992)

A small domed weight with a polished, sloping front facet giving a view onto “a mystical island rising out of the moon’s ocean”. Commissioned in 1992 in a small limited edition of 50, the weight was designed by Alistair Macintosh and the engraving on the frosted surface - which enhances the intepretative interior - is the work of Helen MacDonald.
The weight is signed by both artists on the flat, matt base and inscribed Lunar Sea, Caithness, Scotland.
(The original certificate - which is included - states that it was an edition of 100, but that was obviously a misprint, as the weight itself is inscribed 16-50)
