Bouquet in Double Overlay
A St. Kilda weight; a John Deacons venture
(late 1970s/early 80s)
named after an island off the coast of Scotland.
A terracotta-on-white double overlay cut with a large top window and 12 round & oval side facets to reveal 4 lampwork flowers in shades of lilac, pale-blue & pink, with millefiori “stamen”. In addition, there is a lilac/white bud, green leaves and stems. Although the overlay appears in the pictures to be red, it is actually more of a pink-terracotta colour and gets lighter towards the base.
Signed at the base of the stems with a green & white “StK” cane. Polished, concave base.
