A large lampwork lilac-coloured pansy with heart-shaped petals around a stamen composed of fine yellow threads is borne on a short green stem growing from a pair of green leaves. To the right, a side shoot bears a small lilac & green bud. Finished with a circular top window and 5 large side facets. Incorporated in the spaced garland of millefiori canes is a PH signature cane. Possibly made as a prototype, the paperweight is signed - somewhat indistinctly - around the polished concave base: Peter Holmes, Lilac Pansy, Selkirk Glass Scotland. Dated 1999.
