A sloping front facet gives a view onto a skillfully lampworked cockatoo perched amidst a background of tropical vegetation. His white plummage is enhanced by a bright-red beak and yellow head & crest. Virtually hidden in the foliage at the top of the weight is a large WM signature cane. The small, polished base is inscribed: Cockatoo, Caithness, Scotland and numbered 45-50. (The original certificate states that the weight was designed and made by William Manson)
