Faceted Butterfly Ed. 150 (1980)
No. 18 in the brochure issued by the William Manson Paperweight Studio at Kilwinning (1979-1981). Set over a semi-translucent cobalt-blue ground, the butterfly has a green aventurine body, bright-yellow head and antennae. The green/white millefiori canes used for the wings are miniature closepacks, filled with tiny canes. Encircling the butterfly is a continuous garland of pale-amber, white & red composite canes. The weight has a top window and 5 round side facets.
A black/white WM80 signature/date cane is set in the flat, polished base, which is scratch-numbered 46/150 and signed: William Manson.
