Winter Flower Ed. 500 (1983)
A floral design produced shortly after the artist returned to work at Caithness Glass. Centring an opaque white ground is a lampworked 5-petalled pink flower. Between the cupped petals - edged in white and set around yellow rod stamen - are russet-coloured leaves. The design is encircled by a continuous garland of pink & white millefiori canes.
The flat, polished base is acid-etched: Caithness, Winter Flower, Scotland. Scratch-numbered 51/500. (Includes the original certificate, which confirms that the weight was made by William Manson)
Just over 400 of the planned edition were actually produced.
