A disc-shaped, iridescent glass paperweight from John Ditchfield. The translucent reddish-purple surface is decorated with dark-green lily pads. Perched on one of the leaves is a hallmarked sterling silver dragonfly. Its lattice wings are spread and its elongated body is raised as if it were about to fly off again. Fully-signed around the broad wear rim: J. Ditchfield, Glasform. There is a paper label in the small central concavity.
