1970B Flash Overlay - Ed. 150

The 1970 Annual Collection had just 2 designs. This one has a central complex cane encircled by 5 florets - in clear - with a flash overlay. 6 different colours were used for the overlay: 28 of the edition had an amethyst overlay, like this one. Cut with a top window, 5 large side facets, 10 small side facets and a star-cut base extending to the edge of the weight.  Bears the initials JA (Jack Allan, who made the weight and AM (Anton Moravec who did the cutting). Dated: 1970.
Provenance: this weight was donated to the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum in Neenah, Wisconsin in 1970 and bears its original accession number. To raise funds for new purchases, some “doubles” in the collection - such as this one - have been de-acquisitioned.
