1977C Yellow Overlay - Ed. 400
Perthshire’s first triple overlay - yellow, white and deep-pink. The encased flower has 6 white, purple-edged rounded petals, a short stem and 4 green leaves. The weight is cut with a top window and 16 side facets. This is possibly a variation of the standard weight - or a trial piece - as the facets in the 2nd row are linked to one another, unlike the individual round facets in the standard version.
Signed with a P cane in the centre of the flower. The star-cut in the base extends to the outer rim.
