I have not been able to find this design, which is set on an unusual translucent pale-yellow colour ground! The spoke & half-spoke pattern is centred by a large coloured picture cane of a pheasant. The complex millefiori canes - pale-blue/white, pale-pink/white & mauve/white - are enclosed in a garland of dark & pale-blue canes punctuated by 5 pale-pink/white canes. The pheasant cane appears in limited editions PP68 and PP69 issued in 1983 and 1984 - this was possibly a trial for one of these designs... Signed with a green/white “P” cane in the polished, concave base.
