Pansy- Ed 500 (1999)
The pansy is the smallest of the 3 “Hedgerow” flowers designed by Peter Holmes. It has 2 large, heart-shaped upper petals and 3 pale-blue, purple-tipped lower petals with a white/pale-pink cog cane stamen. The short stem bears green leaves and a purple bud about to open.
Scratch-signed, numbered and dated: SGS (Selkirk Glass, Scotland) 32/500 1999 above the basal rim. The base is concave and polished. (Original certificate)
