Set around a complex cane in red, white, blue and chartreuse are 6 rows of white cogs lined in blue with a white rod in the centre. The final row of finer, similarly-coloured canes, forms a basket, which is pulled underneath and neatly finished off in a small circle. A small blue-and-white SL 1972 signature/date cane is set in the 5th row of millefiori canes. The polished base has a slight concavity.
