Inspired by an antique Clichy paperweight, this unusual design is centred by a ruby star in a blue/white cog cane surrounded by 8 rows of simple and complex millefiori canes. The centre cane appears again in 3 of the rows and also frames the clusters of blue-centred stardust canes forming the border garland. The weight is raised on a double spiral filigree pedestal with blue/white twist torsades around the top and bottom. Set between the stardust clusters is a pink/white SL1981 signature/date cane. Polished, concave base. (Includes original certificate) The same design was issued in shades of green.
