1983 Spring (Ed. 250)
A series of weights depicting the 4 seasons - originally issued in 1982 - each with a central sulphide figure within a bower of lampwork flowers. The figure in “Spring” is a cherub playing a pan flute surrounded by clusters of white flowers and green leaves and set on a pale-green ground, which is darker on the underside. The weight is cut with a large, flat, top window and 6 concave side facets.
The concave base is inscribed: Quatre Saison • Four Seasons • Printemps • Spring. On the underside of the colour ground is an SL1983 signature/date cane.
