1983 Summer (Ed. 250)
A series of weights depicting the 4 seasons - originally issued in 1982. Each one has a central sulphide figure within a bower of lampwork flowers. The sulphide depicted in “Summer” is a cherub carrying a sunflower and surrounded by red roses and green leaves. It is set on a opaque turquoise ground, which is darker on the underside. The weight is finished with a large, flat, top window and 6 concave side facets.
The concave base is inscribed: Quatre Saison • Four Seasons • Ete • Summer. On the underside of the colour ground is an SL1983 signature/date cane.
