Les Poissons / The Fishes series was introduced in 1996/97. There is something fascinating about the green-eyed skate, a native of the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean, as it glides over the sea bed; its primitive look has evolved little over the centuries. The weight is finished with a flat top facet. A blue/white SL 1997 signature/date cane is set in the opaque white ground. Polished, slightly concave base with an acid etched St Louis stamp.
