1973 Lace Twists (Trial Cut)
Lace twists - around a cluster of pale-blue and pink canes - form a spoke arrangement over an opaque black ground. Set between the spokes are large white & pale-blue composite canes and two different types of pink, white & pale-blue canes - producing an overall mauve tonality. The weight is finished with a small circular top window encircled by 6 side facets and 10 concave side facets which extend to the set-up - leaving only a thin layer of encasing crystal. Probably a trial cut, as the weight came from the estate of Geoffrey Baxter, Chief Designer at Whitefriars until it closed in 1980.
Amongst the canes in one of the panels is a white/blue 1973 signature/date cane.
