A weight commemorating the 25th anniversary of the coronation of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. The central colourful millefiori crown on a white roundel is framed by 6 clusters of pink & white cog and star canes & pale-blue rods over a sapphire-blue ground. Tiny “Whitefriars” logo, E II R inscription and dated 1953 and 1978. Cut with a circular top window and 6 side facets. Applied original factory label and scratch-numbered on the concave, polished base. (Although planned as a limited edition of 500, less than 300 were actually made).
