1978 Lace Twist Hexagon
Six lace twists - radiating out from a cluster of tiny blue canes - divide the translucent blue ground into 6 panels. The panels are filled with blue/white star canes, multi-cane white stars around a pink/blue centre and clusters of powder-blue rods. The intricate cutting begins with a hexagonal top window. 6 flat facets slope down to a virtually straight-sided hexagon. However, in the lower half, the 6 “corners” have again been faceted - resulting in a 12-sided shape.
Signed with a blue/white 1978 signature/date cane in one of the panels. Typical Whitefriars base.
