Whitefriars seldom made medium-size weights - in fact, the few there are, were probably trials. This one is centred by a pink & white rose surrounded by 6 yellow “daffodil” canes and 6 pairs of blue canes. Incorporated in the looped pink & white multi-cane garland encircling the design, is a blue/white 1978 signature/date cane. The millefiori canes are set on a semi-translucent dark-blue ground (appears black!). 5+1 faceting and the typical Whitefriars base - with a groove between the pick-up and the encasing crystal.
