Encircling the complex cross cane in the centre are 9 composite canes each composed of 7 pale- & dark-blue,turquoise, lavender, red and yellow tiny millefiori canes bundled together around a white cog. The white internal star canes have blue rod centres and the blue & white canes around the perimeter resemble Clichy pastry moulds. The canes are separated by fine white latticinio twists over a blood-orange ground. Although the basal rim is polished, the centre of the base is flat and slightly rough.
