Inkwell - Salvador Ysart ??
A well-made inkwell - probably the work of Salvador Ysart - with a soft bluish-grey swirl, which continues into the neck. 3 concentric rows of complex millefiori canes are set around a centre cane over the semi-translucent blue-grey base. The canes in the outer row are separated by lengths of twisted pink/white/green ribbons. The canes in the outer 2 rows are repeated in the stopper without the twists.
Slightly concave, fire-polished base with a lightly-ground pontil mark. The glass has a strong purplish tint. (Ysart Bros 1946-1955).
