Rare “Y” Signature Cane (pre-1955)
A fine vintage concentric and one of the few signed paperweights from Salvador Ysart ! The “Y” signature cane is in the first row (at 5 o'clock in the first picture). 4 rows of well set up internal daisy canes with a central rod or small complex cane. The white canes are lined in red, pale-orange, blue and reddish-brown, while the outer colours range from bright-green & pale-orange to cream & bright-blue. The canes in the 4th row appear to "swirl" - in a clockwise direction - over an opaque, dusty-pink colour ground.
The glass has a strong bluish-grey tint. The base is fire-polished, slightly concave with a lightly-ground pontil mark.
