A closepack centre - containing approx. 30 simple and complex millefiori canes - encircled by an 18-cane border - with only one repeat! Meticulously set on an opaque lavender ground - a colour the artist seldom used. Completing the pattern is a border garland with 14 filigree twists - set into the colour ground - and green/white/red tube canes alternating with coral-pink/white/orange complex canes. The flat, fire-polished base has a small central concavity with a gold Monart label covering the pontil mark. (Greyish tint to the glass - 1940/50s Moncrieff period).
