Faceted Star (PY Cane)

A 5-point star made of millefiori canes in various shades of blue - accentuated by white, green, pink & caramel - over a translucent, mottled amber ground. The 5+1 faceting is unusual for an Ysart weight. Whether the flat facets were cut when the weight was made - or later - is a matter of conjecture.
Signed PY on a single cane next to the centre cluster. Clear glass, probably indicating a weight from the 1960s Caithness period. Flat, polished base.
