Filigree Snake (PY Cane)

Filigree Snake (PY Cane)
The off-white body of the reptile - encased in tightly-coiled, yellowish-green filigree - is lying on a mossy-green ground. The snake’s head, with black & white eyes and a red tongue, is raised as if ready to strike.
A PY signature cane is set near the end of the snake’s tail. The large glass sphere is nipped in towards the base and then flares out to produce a ca. 3/8" (8 mm) foot. The green ground is underlaid with white powdered glass, creating the impression that the foot is white. Flat, polished base. 1960s Caithness period.
