A magnum-size closepack with a series of larger millefiori canes forming the border garland for the simple and complex canes which form a high cushion around an attractive centre cane composed of purple, white & crimson “daisies”. An unusual feature: two lengths of latticinio - filled with aventurine - used as “canes” within the closepack. Set on an opaque teal ground. The base has a deep central concavity with a small, round, broken-off pontil mark. (Attributed to the 1940/50s Moncrieff period)
