A patterned millefiori design - probably pre-1940s; the glass has a slight greyish tint. Complex and simple canes set around a bright-green, white & ruby composite centre cane encircled by a double border garland. The inner ring consists of turquoise and yellow-striped canes, the outer ring has dusty-pink and tan coloured canes set between lime-green, white & ruby 8-lobed corrugated canes. Although the canes cover most of the ground - which appears to be black - it is, in fact, translucent, mottled cranberry. Fire-polished, slightly concave base with a round, rough pontil mark.
