A 6-point star on an opaque black ground. Complex green & orange millefiori canes form the points; the centre is filled with pink & white complex canes and lemon & amber cogs. Around the perimeter blue, red & white composite canes are spaced between the points of the star. A small PY signature cane is set at the top of the lower point (see close-up). The fire-polished base has a recessed, unfinished pontil. Age-related wear on the outer edge. The glass has a faint purplish tint. (Attributed to the late 1940/50s Moncrieff period)
